STORY: As told by her great-grand daughter, Mary Brunette:
Grandma had a lot of spunk for a woman back in those days. John Wesley Hardin the outlaw was some kin to George. George would go off with John for months at a time so Grandma told him if he did it again she would divorce him. He did it again so Grandma was true to her word. Her son Benjamin Robert Wesley Hardin and most all of his children is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery in Robertson County, Texas. Grandma is buried there also by her husband James G Bell and two of their daughters. James Absalom Hardin left home when he was about 16 and went to West Texas where George W was living and took sick and died out there. George never told Grandma that he was dead, so after about 3 years she got in touch with George and he told her what happen to James.
Grandma died in my grandparents home when she was 97 years old. She had fell some years before and broke her hip and could not walk. My grandmother is Viola Virginia Bell Barnett.

Moses was Elizabeth Adeline Cobb's school teacher. She was about 13 years old when they married at the Camp Creek, Robertson County, Texas home of her parents.
They had four children. The fourth child, William Hasten Buchanan, was born after his father's untimely death.
"Moses was at home, walked out on the porch, said he did not feel well, sat down and died."
It was during the Civil War, but Moses did not serve in the armed forces. Elizabeth Adeline's father was a Robertson County Commissioner and also died during the war. After the Civil War, she married a veteran, William H. Snider.
